Los Cabos is covered by two kinds of publishing: listings nobody wrote, and advertising that reads like recommendation. Neither helps somebody deciding where to have dinner on a Tuesday, or who to call when the air conditioning fails in August.
The Discovery Network exists for the middle: reported, opinionated, useful writing about the places, people and businesses of Los Cabos — and a page for each of them that a reader can act on.
How we choose
We use the business, or we talk at length to people who do. We look for the thing that is hard to fake: a kitchen that shortens its menu on a bad morning, a skipper who cancels, a contractor who answers the phone in September.
Our rules
- Placement is editorial. It is not for sale, at any price.
- We write our own recommendations. We never republish a client's copy as ours.
- We do not publish ratings or review counts we cannot substantiate.
- Facts — hours, contact details, service area — are confirmed with the business.
- If we stop recommending a business, we remove the page.
