The yoga most visitors find in Los Cabos is the hotel’s: a class on the schedule at eight in the morning, a room of strangers, a teacher who has never met you and has fifty minutes. It is fine. It is also the opposite of why most people come here.

Paulina Carlon works the other way around. She comes to you — your villa, your hotel, a terrace, the sand — and the session is built for whoever is on the mat that morning. She calls herself a holistic facilitator rather than an instructor, and the word earns its keep: she started with the asanas and kept going into breathwork, meditation, somatic movement and ceremony, so a session can be a hard physical practice or an hour of putting a nervous system back together, depending on what you walked in with.

That flexibility is the actual service. A couple on their honeymoon wants something slow at sunset. A family with teenagers wants movement that does not feel like a class. A group of eight celebrating a birthday wants the lawn, the mats and a ceremony to mark it. Someone three days into a work trip wants to sleep properly again. All of those are the same booking, made different by what she brings to it.

What a session actually involves

You say what you are after — flexibility, strength, a quieter head, recovery from travel — and she builds the hour around it. Mat pilates instead of yoga, if that suits you better. Breathwork and meditation can sit inside the session or replace it. Sound healing is available as an add-on, and so are the mindful rituals she uses to open and close a practice.

She brings what is needed. You need a flat space: a terrace, a lawn, a living room with the furniture pushed back, a stretch of beach.

The ceremonies

This is the part that does not exist on a hotel schedule. Paulina is often asked to mark something — a wedding the day before the wedding, a fortieth birthday, the last morning of a trip, a cacao ceremony for a group of friends who will not be in the same country again for a year. These are built with intention and ritual rather than as an event, and they take a conversation beforehand.

The retreat

Once a year she runs a six-night retreat on the East Cape, where the desert meets the sea. The 2026 edition runs 8 to 13 November: a private venue, airport pick-up and drop-off, two meals a day cooked by a private chef, daily practice, breathwork, journaling circles, a cacao ceremony, and the Baja part — beaches, a hiking trail, surf mobility, horses, a turtle release. It fills from her own community, so ask early.

Practical

Sessions are arranged by WhatsApp, usually a day or two ahead; in high season her calendar closes earlier than you would expect. She works across Los Cabos and the surrounding area, and online for anyone who starts here and wants to keep going at home. She teaches in Spanish and English.
