A boutique agency that manages a handful of houses in Cabo San Lucas and the corridor itself, with a concierge included rather than sold.
A hacienda built around a courtyard in Costa Azul — a main house and two casitas, five minutes' walk from the surf, with room for a group of sixteen.

Villa Vida is not a hotel room and it is not a condo. It is a whole property, and it is built the old way: a hacienda laid out around a courtyard, with a fountain and an interior garden in the middle of it. That garden is the whole plan of the house — it separates the main bedrooms from the kitchen, and it is also the thing that joins them. You cross it to get anywhere, which is why a group that arrives as three separate households ends up meeting in it.
The main house has three bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. Above it a loft casita holds three more with a kitchenette, a sitting room and a terrace of its own; below, a second casita has two rooms, two bathrooms and its own terrace again. Ten beds, six and a half bathrooms, and the whole place is yours: you get the code and the keys.
That structure is the reason to consider it. Three families travelling together, or a group of friends who like each other but not at breakfast, get separate front doors and a shared pool, a jacuzzi, a fire pit, an asador and a garden with hammocks and a sea view. A group that would otherwise need four hotel rooms and a restaurant reservation every night here needs one house and a kitchen.
Costa Azul, which is where San José del Cabo stops being a town and the corridor begins. There is sea from the terrace and desert a few steps the other way, and that combination is the address in one sentence.
It sits apart from the town without being far from it. San José’s main supermarkets are under five minutes by car, and the new roundabout took the awkwardness out of that drive. The centre and the art district are about seven minutes. The beach — the surf break, not the swimming beach — is five minutes on foot, and the shops along the highway rent boards and teach lessons. Cabo San Lucas is twenty minutes down the corridor, which puts the whole coast’s restaurants within a short drive rather than an evening’s commitment.
What that adds up to is a house close enough to everything and far enough from the noise of it: the Cabo people describe from thirty years ago, on a stretch of coast that has developed hard since.
Check-in is from three in the afternoon and check-out is before eleven. A later departure is possible but carries a charge, so agree it in advance rather than on the morning. Pets are welcome. Direct bookings take a three-night minimum.
The house also arranges what a villa stay usually needs bolted on — a chef for the week, the fridge stocked before you land, transport from the airport, a bartender for one night, massages on the terrace. Ask for these when you enquire rather than after you arrive: the good people in Los Cabos are booked weeks out, which is the same thing Cabo Travel Boutique will tell you about chefs.
The house rents steadily across several booking sites, so it is not hard to find. But going through a platform is not the same transaction as going to the house: contacting Constanza directly can carry a better rate than the listings do, because a direct booking is not paying for the middle.
Constanza has been hosting here for eight years, and the house holds 4.83 across 48 reviews, with cleanliness its strongest line. She takes enquiries herself — her direct line is not on this page yet, so until it is, send us your dates and we will put you straight in touch: write to the editors.
